Knitting and Stitching show

Well the week in the UK flew by, I had a great time at Ally Pally seeing all the wonderful yarns and meeting up with old friends and some future guests for knitting holidays in France. Jane and Debbie's stands looked amazing and their Christmas kits were flying out, Jane's crochet bauble and Debbie's knitted Merry Christmas banner proving to be the most popular. My old college mate and textile artist Kim Thittichai was doing some wonderful demo's on the Vilene stand and plied me with leaflets for her Christmas Open House in Brighton. I also had a chance to have a good look at the Bergere de France yarns and get my head around how we can improve the pattern translations.

I took along a couple of Culli;s hand turned yarn bowls and sold them both on the first day! There will be more coming soon!!!
We had a flying visit to Cornwall to pick up a new lathe for Culli, off to Sussex for lunch with the family on Sunday and back to France on Monday, clocking up a total of 2000 miles.
Tomorrow we have four guests arriving for the final knitting retreat this year, it has been a really hot and sunny day today, fingers crossed it will last a few more days!
