Learn to Crochet Workshop

We had some more bookings yesterday for the next workshop, so there are only a few spaces left. This is a great introduction to the art of crochet, or a reminder. I have just ordered some amazing new books on crochet which will be in stock in time for the workshop (more details on these coming soon!) It is also a chance to splash out on some of the gorgeous River John birch wood crochet hooks.

Knitting Group

We have started a knitting group at Kangaroo. Come and join us every Thursday between 10 am and 4 pm for a 'knit'n'natter'. Call Harriet and Amanda on 01273 400030 to register.

Mission Falls Accent

The new pattern book from Mission Falls arrived yesterday. The patterns are mainly for accessories and include the most wonderful wrap. The patterns use 1824 Cotton and Cotton whirl but can all be substituted with 1824 wool which would probably be more suitable for some of the hats and gloves.

We also have had a new delivery of River John knitting needles and crochet hooks and more Crystal Palace Kid Merino shades.

Buttons!

I seem to have a button obsession at the moment and have spent days putting all our old stock of buttons up on the website, plus we have some gorgeous new buttons in huge sizes from the Button Company. Beautiful buttons really make a garment so it is worth choosing carefully.

Debbie Bliss magazine No. 2

At last! It has arrived, I feel like we are the last retailer in the world to receive our delivery. I missed the first shipment as I was too late with my order, then this shipment got stuck in customs delaying it for a further week, however all back orders will be in the post tomorrow, thank you to all our customers for their patience, I am sure it will be worth the wait.

Shop Update

February seemed to pass me by - so much for the New Year's resolution to update the blog every day!

It was a busy month with lots of new stock arriving, and a baby! I am a granny again so baby knits are top priority for a while. The embellishments workshop was a great success, I am really looking forward to the two workshops next week as I will actually be there for a change and both are fully subscribed so I must remember to take some photos as we don't have any images of the Sussex workshops.

We are planning a knitting group at Kangaroo, just need to decide on the day and timings and get some publicity going for it.
